Student Experience

I made a conscious decision to study on campus at the Kempten Business School. I preferred this to distance learning on the basis that you don’t have to work your way through heaps of papers at home, but instead reap the benefits from high-intensity guided learning. Even the part-time blocks are rather like full-time study. The lectures you attend during a 3-day weekend seminar almost equate to a full-time quota of two hours per week throughout a regular semester. This fitted the way I work very well. The preparatory reading was meaningful and compact. To sum up, this advanced study programme includes full-time and part-time blocks providing intensive contact with lecturers, but it doesn’t take up too much of your free time.
Daniel Uhlemann (MBA-Alumnus)

What is modular study?

In a module study programme, you take a subject group (module) from a Master’s degree programme. This means that you do not participate in a complete degree programme, but only in a single module from the degree programme. You complete the module study programme with an examination. You will then receive a university certificate and a university transcript showing the ECTS credits earned. If you still want to take the Master’s programme at some point, you can have the completed module credited to you.

Your modular studies take place at Kempten Business School on the campus of Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
Schedule Study while working

The module study comprises 190 teaching hours, which are covered in six seminar blocks within 12 months.

You complete the seminars together with the students of the MBA programme. Your fellow students from different countries and industries will help your international network grow.

3 good reasons

Only study what really catches your interest

With a modular degree programme, you only study parts of a degree programme. This allows you to select the content that is relevant to you.

Keep the option open to catch up on your Master's degree

You will receive ECTS credits for the modules you have completed. If you are still interested in a Master’s programme at a later point in time, you can have the modules you have already completed credited to you. In this way, a degree programme can be completed in several stages.

Benefit from the Kempten Model for for Managers

The Kempten Leadership Development Model is based on current psychological findings and a variety of effective development tools. In contrast to the usual transmission of static knowledge about leadership and change management, this programme contributes to a sustainable development of your leadership personality.
